Rolls-Royce Apparition by Jeremy Westerlund

You’ve seen the Rolls-Royce Phantom. You’ve seen the Rolls-Royce Ghost. Now say hello to the Rolls-Royce Apparition. Unlike its production counterparts, the Apparition is purely a design study. It’s the brainchild of one Jeremy Westerlund, who designed it as an independent project while studying at the Art Center. The idea blends classic design elements with futuristic ones, with mahogany wheel inserts and a shape that places the chauffeur out in the open like in vintage motor carriages, with the occupants coddled inside. Although just a design for the time being, the model itself is nearly six feet long, and in reality would measure over 23 feet long, or four feet longer than the Phantom saloon.
Pagani Huayra

Some cars simply qualify for the label “exotic,” but the new Pagani Huayra ($TBA) exudes it. Boasting an instantly identifiable exterior, the Huayra features huge gull-wing doors,bi-xenon headlights, a carbon-titanium monocoque, a Mercedes-AMG 12-cylinder biturbo engine good for over 700 hp, a seven-speed sequential gearbox and a dual-disc clutch, and a central touch screen high-definition multimedia system. Instead of going further, we’ll just leave you with this “exotic” moment from the press release: “With its power, the god of the wind Huayra Tata may raise the waters of Lake Titicaca and turn them into rain that pours on the fertile Pachamama.” Exactly.

Audi V10

First unveiled with a V8 engine, Audi waited a while before introducing the V10 model. But when the convertible Spyder version came along, they did things the other way around, offering it at first only with the V10. Now the German automaker has opened the order books for customers who want the open-air experience of the Spyder with the more economic V8 engine. Customers who opt for the V8 model can still choose from manual or automatic transmissions, available carbon-ceramic brakes and can upgrade to the V10 version’s larger wheels and upgraded suspension. So if you’ve been hankering for an R8 Spyder but the V10 has been a little out of reach, now could be your time.
Presenting the new Bugatti Veyron Super Sports: the World’s Fastest Car

For the long-anticipated Veyron Super Sports – which follows in the tire tracks of upgraded Super Sports models from the marque’s history – Bugatti has tweaked the engine to produce an extra 200 horsepower over the “standard” model’s 1000. The resulting 1200-horse output, combined with revised aerodynamics, was enough for Bugatti to claim the land speed record at 267.81 miles per hour, achieved at parent company Volkswagen’s proprietary Ehra-Lessian test track in the presence of officials from the Guiness Book of World Records and the German Technical Inspection Agency, making it official.
The Veyron Super Sports will be unveiled officially next month at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, after which full details of customer availability will be announced. For now we know that the first five production models will be painted the same black and neon orange paint scheme as the test vehicle you see here.
